The Barnett Group consulted with its client Mid-South Ag Equipment to streamline its employee benefits and payroll systems on the Maxwell Health digital platform. Read below to learn about the transition for the company’s employees and human resources team.
The human resources team of Mid-South Ag Equipment, a complete crop application and agricultural equipment dealer with offices across the Southeast, managed employee benefits and its department completely offline. This meant the HR staff had to manually enter eligibility in all of the different carrier systems, and manage payroll and benefits enrollment for more than 150 employees using only paper and spreadsheets. With the majority of their employees located in the field, it was also difficult to manage all employment-related paperwork and documentation throughout the year.
The Barnett Group implemented Mid-South Ag on the Maxwell platform soon after securing them as a client. Mid-South Ag’s HR team knew going paperless would greatly simplify benefits and HR processes, including all employee onboarding, payroll setup, employment paperwork and COBRA, for all of its locations.
“Bringing Maxwell to this client has removed a lot of their administrative headaches and has made managing eligibility and benefits more efficient for Mid-South Ag’s HR team,” said Esha Rock, co-director of client services at The Barnett Group. As an additional level of service, The Barnett Group went onsite to personally train the HR department’s team. Jordan Sharp, the department’s administrative assistant said the training and transition process “helped tremendously.”
The first time she logged into Maxwell Health to enter an employee, Jordan said, “It was so easy due to the training we received from The Barnett Group. Anytime I had a question or an issue, I reached out to our reps, and not only do they respond quickly, but our issue was usually fixed by the end of the day.”
The Barnett Group also utilized Maxwell’s integrations with Paylocity and Paychex (the company’s existing payroll vendors) to further improve Mid-South Ag’s connectivity.
“Maxwell Health has been amazing for our company! We went from having to use multiple portals to just using one, and it has made the enrollment process for new employees a breeze. Switching to The Barnett Group and Maxwell Health has
been one of the best decisions we’ve made.”
– Jordan Sharp, administrative assistant at Mid-South Ag Equipment
