Jonathan Edwards

Director of Client Technology

Jonathan joined The Barnett Group in January 2012 as director of client technology, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in the health care technology industry. Jonathan’s priorities focus on managing client relationships through technology services, such as The Barnett Group’s Zywave platform, an online resource for human resources professionals. He also works with clients to analyze medical claims and plan options in order to find the best and most cost-effective fit for their needs.

Before joining the firm, Jonathan attended Harding University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2006. He then received his master’s degree in business administration from Freed-Hardeman University in 2009.  

A native of Florence, Italy, and fluent speaker of Italian, Jonathan led the study abroad program in Citerna, Italy, for Freed-Hardeman University in 2008, where he also taught the language to 42 students. When he’s not assisting clients at The Barnett Group, Jonathan enjoys cheering for the Italian professional football club, Fiorentina, playing soccer and the guitar, running and remodeling houses.

Work responsibilities: I assist clients with Affordable Care Act compliance, claims analytics and online enrollment capabilities.

Hometown: Florence, Italy

Education: I have a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Harding University and a Master of Business Administration from Freed-Hardeman University.

Personal: Wife – Kristin, Children – Mia (2 years old) and Sophia (4months old)

One thing most people don’t know about you:  I operate a haunted house during the month of October each year.

If you could have a superpower what would it be: The ability to freeze time

Name one thing you miss about being a kid: Summer vacation

Have any hidden talents: My mother taught me to cross-stitch when I was 9 years old because I was bored on an international flight.

If you could live during a different time period, which one would you choose and why: I’d choose to live in 2100 because I would love to see how different it is going to be compared to now.

If money was no object, what would you do all day:  Travel
